VandeSteeg, Bonnie
Dr Bonnie VandeSteeg obtained her doctorate from Goldsmiths College, University of London, in 2005. The focus of her research was land use conflicts in the Highlands of Scotland. She was a teacher for over 30 years, most recently A-level philosophy and anthropology in a London sixth form college. She also taught for the Open University and at Goldsmiths, using this extensive experience to do research on transitions in education. She was also Chief Examiner for the Anthropology A level. Retirement has brought time to devote to writing and she published a book based on her research in 2021. She is also involved in campaigning on issues discussed in her book such as land use, the environment, housing, and improving local community participation in decision-making.
